On February 1st, after his degree at the Bocconi University of Milan, Claudio Savini establishes the company "Claudio Savini – Rappresentanze-Import-Export" (details)
1919
Claudio Savini informs the Chamber of Commerce of Milan that "after the break of the war the company is going to start its activities again at the new offices of Piazza S. Pietro e Lino 1"
1921
The “Fuel Division” is added to the existing import/export activities. In the year 1925 however this Division will be eventually left aside and closed
1936
The company name changes into "Claudio Savini & Figli del Dr. Claudio Savini" (individual company)
1938
After his University degree Giorgio Savini, the eldest of Claudio’s two sons, joins the company. In the following half-century Giorgio will bring a substantial impact to the growth of the Company within the Italian industrial market
1945
On August 30 Giorgio Savini is nominated Procurator of the Company by his father Claudio. Giorgio will succeed his father in the business within a few years
1946
After the destructions of the war Claudio Savini & Figli starts some initial business relationships with some American and North-European companies, capable to offer highly sophisticated technologies that proved to be extremely useful for the industrial rebuilding of Italy
1946
Claudio Savini & Figli is among the founding members of ANCE – National Association of the Foreign Trade, lately transformed into AICE. In the following years the Company also becomes member of AssICC – Italian Association of the Chemical Trade
1949
After the interruption for the war Claudio Savini & Figli and Aarhus Oliefabrik A/S, a Danish pioneer in the field of fractionated vegetable fats for the chocolate and cacao industry, restart their business relationship
1951
On March 13 the Company changes to the present company name "Claudio Savini & Figli S.r.l."

Starts the co-operation with the Danish company Grindstedværket, a major relationship that will end up only in 1994 when the Danes established their new Italian subsidiary

Received in December an official award for the attendance to the exhibition of Addis Ababa (Ethiopia)

Claudio Savini & Figli S.r.l. becomes member of the American Chamber of Commerce of Milan

Starts representing in Italy the Norwegian company Protan & Fagertun A/S, a world’s major producer of sea hydrocolloids. After several changes, in 1999 that company is taken over by the American FMC Corporation, getting the name of FMC Biopolymer a.s
1959
Starts the business relationship with Sweco, initially with their Mother company in the US and then with their European subsidiary in Belgium. Also this relationship is still successfully continuing today

On October 1 the 3rd Savini generation joins the business: initially Claudio Savini, followed in the next 6 years by his brothers Alberto, Emanuele and Giulia

Award to the Foreign Trade – 1st issue – from the Chamber of Commerce of Milan, for the “activity to promote the knowledge and the foreign trade of the products from Milan throughout the foreign markets”

Starts the sales agreement with the Dutch company Vrieco-Zelhem, later Vrieco-Nauta, that is still today a key connection within the total picture of the company

Starts the business relationship with the industrial group Hosokawa, a Japanese multinational active in the field of solids/powder handling

Award and Medal of Honour from Prince Henrik of Denmark, for the contribution given to the development of the commercial relationship with this Country

In November Giorgio Savini decides to resign and leave all management responsibilities to his sons. For the first time the company is managed by a Board of Directors whose members are the brothers Claudio, Alberto ed Emanuele Savini

Starts the business relationship with the German company Stern Chemie, a fast growing manufacturer of soy lecithin

Alberto Savini is elected “Delegate” of the Food Ingredients Group of AssICC
1995
Starts the business relationship with Beldem, a company belonging to the well known Belgian Group Puratos, a key player in the field of the ingredients for the bakery and milling industry

Alberto Savini becomes member of the Executive Board of AssICC
1999
Starts the sales agreement with the German company UCON Containersysteme, world’s leader for the stainless steel bins and mobile containers

On February 1 we celebrate the first 90 years of activity

The Company is assigned the exclusive distributorship for Italy from the English company Breconcherry, active in the field of industrial cleaning by means of high performance cleaning heads
