The “Fuel Division”
is added to the existing import/export activities. In the year

After his University
degree Giorgio Savini, the eldest of Claudio’s
two sons, joins the company. In the following
half-century Giorgio will bring a substantial impact to the
growth of the Company within the Italian industrial market |

On August 30 Giorgio Savini
is nominated Procurator of the Company by his father Claudio.
Giorgio will succeed his father in the business within a few
years |

After the destructions of
the war Claudio Savini & Figli starts some initial business
relationships with some American and North-European
companies, capable to offer highly sophisticated technologies
that proved to be extremely useful for the industrial rebuilding
of Italy |

Claudio Savini & Figli
is among the founding members of ANCE –
National Association of the Foreign Trade, lately transformed
into AICE. In the following years the Company also becomes member
of AssICC – Italian Association of the
Chemical Trade |

After the interruption
for the war Claudio Savini & Figli and Aarhus Oliefabrik
A/S, a Danish pioneer in the field of fractionated
vegetable fats for the chocolate and cacao industry, restart
their business relationship |

On March 13 the Company
changes to the present company name "Claudio
Savini & Figli S.r.l." |

Starts the co-operation
with the Danish company Grindstedværket,
a major relationship that will end up only in 1994 when the
Danes established their new Italian subsidiary |

Received in December an
official award for the attendance to the exhibition of Addis
Ababa (Ethiopia) |

S.r.l. becomes member of the American Chamber of Commerce
of Milan |

Starts representing in Italy
the Norwegian company Protan & Fagertun A/S,
a world’s major producer of sea hydrocolloids. After several
changes, in 1999 that company is taken over by the American
FMC Corporation, getting the name of FMC Biopolymer a.s |

Starts the business relationship
with Sweco, initially with their Mother company
in the US and then with their European subsidiary in Belgium.
Also this relationship is still successfully continuing today

and the foreign trade of the products from Milan throughout

Vrieco-Nauta, that is still today a key connection

with the industrial group Hosokawa, a Japanese

of Honour from Prince Henrik of Denmark, for the contribution
given to the development of the commercial relationship

Giorgio Savini decides to resign and leave all management
responsibilities to his sons. For the first time the
company is managed by a Board of Directors whose members are
the brothers Claudio, Alberto ed Emanuele Savini |

with the German company Stern Chemie, a fast
growing manufacturer of soy lecithin |

Alberto Savini
is elected “Delegate” of the Food
Ingredients Group of AssICC |

Starts the business relationship
with Beldem, a company belonging to the well
known Belgian Group Puratos, a key player in the field of the
ingredients for the bakery and milling industry |
